The Power of the Received Word
By Pinnacle Message
(Vol. 10 – A Continuation of “RECEIVE IT TODAY”)
There is a sound from Heaven—quiet, yet mighty. It travels not by thunder but by truth. And when it finds a soul ready, open, broken, it does not rest on the surface. It pierces. It plants. It transforms.
This is the power of the received Word. It is not ink on a scroll, nor mere rhythm from a pulpit. It is spirit and fire. It is wind wrapped in wisdom. It is God's voice shaped into human language.
To receive His Word is not to merely hear—it is to host the eternal. The moment you receive it, it reshapes the soil of your soul. You are no longer who you were before it entered. The received Word works in silence, but bears fruit in public. What comes in secret springs forth in strength.
Narration – A Seed Beneath the Surface
Imagine a barren field—dry, cracked, forgotten. No sign of life. Then a whisper falls from the sky. A single seed—God’s Word—burrows into the earth. It is unseen. It is quiet. But it is alive.
Days pass. Storms hit. The sun burns. But the Word does not die. It breaks through the ground with a holy defiance. It says: I will not return void. It rises not with the strength of man, but with the breath of God.
Seven Verses on the Power of the Received Word
-
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword...”
Once received, the Word slices through confusion, doubt, and sin. It divides truth from lie and spirit from noise.
-
Jeremiah 23:29
“Is not my word like as a fire? saith the Lord; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?”
The received Word ignites. It breaks strongholds. It shatters spiritual resistance and warms the frozen heart.
-
1 Thessalonians 2:13
“...when ye received the word of God... ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
The Word doesn’t merely inform—it works. It labors in you, crafting Christ in your character.
-
Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be... it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please...”
Once you receive it, God’s Word becomes your assignment. It begins a mission in your life it will finish.
-
James 1:21
“Receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”
The Word must be engrafted—joined to your spirit like a living limb. It saves not just your eternity, but your daily life.
-
Psalm 119:11
“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
To receive the Word is to store it deep. It becomes a compass when temptation rises and truth feels far.
-
Luke 8:15
“...having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”
It’s not enough to hear it. You must keep it—nurture it through storms and silence—and fruit will follow.
Exposition – How to Hold Onto the Received Word
-
Water it with worship. When God speaks, respond with praise. Worship softens the soil.
-
Guard it with prayer. The enemy always tries to steal a fresh word. Pray protection over what you’ve received.
-
Write it down. Habakkuk was told, “Write the vision.” If God says it, don’t let it be forgotten.
-
Return to it often. Re-read. Rehearse. Reclaim the Word until it becomes part of your breath.
-
Walk in obedience. What you obey, you retain. What you ignore, you slowly lose.
Interpretation – Why It Matters
The Word you receive is not just for today. It is your torch in the tunnel. Your anchor in the storm. Your direction when all voices contradict.
It is the whisper that becomes a roar. It is the promise that becomes reality. It is the seed that becomes a harvest.
To receive God’s Word is to receive God’s will. And to hold it is to hold your future, your peace, your power.
Final Call:
If you’ve received it—don’t let it go.
Hold it until it bears fruit.
Let it live in you until you no longer speak—it speaks through you.
This is the power of the received Word.
It doesn’t just change your mind.
It changes your life.
