Rise Above It - Vol 1

By Pinnacle Message

“You were not created to sink—you were born to soar.”

Introduction

Every believer will face storms, setbacks, and spiritual warfare, but not every believer knows how to rise above them. The enemy’s goal is to keep you under pressure, beneath discouragement, and overwhelmed by circumstance. But in Christ, we are given not just survival—but victory. Rising above it isn’t denial of the struggle—it’s choosing to live from a higher place. Let this message ignite the flame of faith within you as we walk through Scripture to uncover what it means to rise above it.

1. Isaiah 43:2 – “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you…”

Narration: God assures His people that adversity will come—but so will His presence.
Exposition: The waters represent overwhelming situations, yet He promises you won’t drown.
Interpretation: You were never promised a storm-free life, but a stormproof spirit. God doesn’t remove every hardship; He walks through it with you.
Motivation: If God is with you in it, then He will lift you above it. Keep moving.

2. Psalm 27:5 – “He shall set me up upon a rock…”

Narration: David speaks of being lifted to a place of safety in times of trouble.
Exposition: The rock symbolizes Christ, the unshakeable foundation.
Interpretation: Rising above does not mean escaping reality—it means anchoring in the truth that God elevates those who trust Him.
Motivation: Trouble may visit, but it won’t stay when your feet are on the Rock.

3. Philippians 3:13–14 – “Forgetting what is behind… I press toward the mark…”

Narration: Paul speaks of relentless pursuit in faith, letting go of what could hold him back.
Exposition: The past can chain your present if you don’t release it.
Interpretation: Rising above often starts with leaving behind—failures, guilt, shame, even former glory.
Motivation: You can’t fly forward while dragging yesterday’s baggage. Let it go and rise.

4. Romans 8:37 – “In all these things we are more than conquerors…”

Narration: Paul outlines tribulation, persecution, and danger—yet calls us conquerors.
Exposition: “More than conquerors” means we don’t just survive—we thrive, overcome, and reclaim.
Interpretation: The believer is not a victim but a vessel of victory. What you face does not define you—what you believe does.
Motivation: Stop agreeing with defeat. You were born to win in Christ.

5. Matthew 14:29–31 – “Peter walked on the water…”

Narration: Jesus calls Peter to rise above logic and fear and walk upon the storm.
Exposition: Water here symbolizes fear, impossibility, and the unknown.
Interpretation: As long as Peter focused on Jesus, he walked above the storm. The moment he focused on the wind, he sank.
Motivation: What you focus on determines your altitude. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

6. 2 Corinthians 4:8–9 – “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed…”

Narration: Paul reveals the paradox of Christian endurance—pressed but not crushed.
Exposition: Trials may touch the body, but not the spirit when rooted in God.
Interpretation: Your spirit is designed to rise no matter what surrounds you.
Motivation: Don’t internalize external battles. Rise above them by the power of Christ within you.

7. Ephesians 2:6 – “He has raised us up and seated us in heavenly places…”

Narration: Paul teaches that elevation is not just a hope—it’s a spiritual reality.
Exposition: “Heavenly places” means living with divine perspective and authority.
Interpretation: You are already spiritually elevated in Christ. The question is—will you live like it?
Motivation: Don’t stoop to every attack, conflict, or temptation. You’re seated higher. Act like it.

Conclusion: Let Your Spirit Soar

To rise above it is to refuse to stay beneath it. Whatever it is—grief, temptation, fear, discouragement, betrayal—God has given you strength to ascend. Not in your own power, but through His grace.

Every eagle knows that the storm isn’t the end—it’s the wind that lifts. Likewise, let what was meant to break you be what lifts you. Let the Word fill your wings, let worship be your lift, and let prayer be your breath at higher altitudes.

“But they that wait upon the Lord… shall mount up with wings as eagles…” – Isaiah 40:31

Now is the time. Rise above it. Don’t settle. Soar.
