Rise Above It – Volume 3: Rising Above Rejection
By Pinnacle Message
“Rejection is not your end—it’s God’s redirection.”
Introduction
Rejection can wound the soul more deeply than any visible scar. Whether from people, institutions, family, or even within the church, rejection tries to define our worth. But God specializes in lifting the rejected and placing them in positions of honor. In Christ, rejection does not mean abandonment—it’s often divine positioning. This volume speaks to the hurting, the forgotten, the misunderstood, and the cast aside. You were rejected by man, but you are chosen by God.
1. Psalm 118:22 – “The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”
Narration: David’s prophetic insight points to Christ Himself.
Exposition: Jesus was rejected by those who should have embraced Him, yet He became the foundation of salvation.
Interpretation: God turns rejection into elevation. What man refuses, God refines.
Motivation: Don’t be broken by rejection—be built by it.
2. Isaiah 53:3 – “He was despised and rejected by men…”
Narration: Isaiah foretells the suffering of Christ.
Exposition: Jesus not only understands rejection—He carried its full weight.
Interpretation: You serve a Savior who knows what it feels like to be left out, hated, and misunderstood.
Motivation: If Jesus bore rejection, you don’t have to carry shame. You’re not alone.
3. Genesis 37:20 – “Come now, let us kill him… and we shall see what will become of his dreams.”
Narration: Joseph’s brothers plotted to destroy him out of envy.
Exposition: Rejection doesn’t always come from enemies—it can come from those closest to you.
Interpretation: Joseph’s rejection led to his redirection—straight into destiny.
Motivation: Let every rejection become fuel for your promotion.
4. 1 Samuel 16:11 – “There remains yet the youngest… and behold, he is keeping the sheep.”
Narration: David wasn’t even invited to the anointing.
Exposition: Man looks at the outward appearance; God sees the heart.
Interpretation: David’s family overlooked him, but heaven was watching.
Motivation: Even when others forget you, God remembers your name.
5. John 1:11 – “He came to his own, and his own received him not.”
Narration: John describes the cold reception Jesus received.
Exposition: The very people Christ came to save rejected Him.
Interpretation: Rejection does not cancel mission—it confirms identity.
Motivation: If people walk away, don’t stop walking in your call.
6. Romans 8:33 – “Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?”
Narration: Paul assures believers that no accusation can stick.
Exposition: You are elect—not based on man’s opinion, but God’s choice.
Interpretation: God’s calling overrides man’s rejection. Heaven has already validated you.
Motivation: Stop waiting for acceptance from people you were never assigned to please.
7. 1 Peter 2:9 – “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood…”
Narration: Peter reminds believers of their divine identity.
Exposition: Being chosen by God surpasses any earthly title or circle.
Interpretation: You were not just saved—you were selected.
Motivation: Rise above rejection and embrace your royal assignment.
Final Word: Chosen, Not Forsaken
The world may discard you, but God never disowns His own. Your rejection may have been painful, but it’s not permanent. In God's eyes, you are not rejected—you are redirected, refined, and re-established for a greater purpose.
“When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.” – Psalm 27:10
Believer, rise above it. Don't let rejection define your voice, your value, or your vision. You are not a mistake—you are a masterpiece.
