God, the Almighty - Vol 1
By Pinnacle Message
When we lift our eyes to heaven and call upon the name of God, we are acknowledging Him as the Almighty—the One whose power has no rival, whose word stands forever, and whose hand sustains the universe. Believers must never lose sight of this truth: our strength, hope, and deliverance are found only in Him.
1. God’s Infinite Power
“Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for You.” — Jeremiah 32:17
The prophet Jeremiah declared that God’s creation itself is proof of His limitless power. Every star in the sky and every grain of sand on earth testifies that nothing is impossible with Him. For the believer, this truth is a foundation of trust—God’s might is greater than our troubles.
2. The Alpha and Omega
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” — Revelation 1:8
God is not bound by time. He is before the beginning and remains after the end. When we place our lives in His hands, we are resting in the One who knows the end from the beginning. This means our path is secure in His eternal purpose.
3. The God of Deliverance
“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” — Psalm 18:2
David experienced God’s power as his shield and salvation. The Almighty is not distant—He steps into our battles, surrounds us with His strength, and delivers us from every snare. To lean on God’s power is to walk in assurance, no matter the trial.
4. The Almighty in Creation
“By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of His mouth all their host.” — Psalm 33:6
Creation itself bows before His command. With just His breath, stars were flung into galaxies. This same God speaks peace into our storms and breathes life into weary souls. His almighty word is the believer’s unshakable anchor.
5. The God Who Fights for Us
“The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.” — Exodus 14:14
When the Israelites were trapped between Pharaoh’s army and the Red Sea, God displayed His almighty power by parting the waters. Likewise, when we face impossible walls, we are reminded that the Almighty fights on our behalf. Our silence becomes faith, our surrender becomes victory.
6. The Sustainer of All Things
“He upholds the universe by the word of His power.” — Hebrews 1:3
Christ, the radiance of God’s glory, is the very One who sustains everything by His power. The stars do not fall from their orbits, and the earth does not spin out of control, because the Almighty holds it together. If He sustains the cosmos, how much more will He sustain your life?
7. Our Refuge and Strength
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
The Almighty is not only majestic and eternal—He is present. His power is not only cosmic but personal. When fear and uncertainty surround us, we find shelter in Him. The Almighty is a fortress for His children.
Reflection and Call to Faith
To know God as the Almighty is to bow in reverence and rise in confidence. His power is unmatched, His authority unquestionable, and His love unshakable. As believers, we are called to lean not on our own strength but on His omnipotence. The Almighty does not fail, and those who trust in Him will never be put to shame.
Let us live daily with this truth on our lips: God, the Almighty, is my strength, my refuge, and my salvation.
