PRAYER FOR THE WEEK

Bringing Every New Week Before God

“One Prayer. One Week. One Heart Resting in God.”

Every new week arrives carrying something different.

For some, it brings new opportunities. For others, it brings responsibilities, decisions, uncertainty, waiting, challenges, or circumstances that require more strength than they feel they possess.

But before we know what the week will bring, God is already there.

Prayer for the Week is a special weekly ministry of Pinnacle Message Ministries, created to help believers begin and continue each week in prayer, faith, surrender, and confidence in God.

It is a place where we intentionally bring the days ahead before the Lord and say:

“Father, this week belongs to You.”

Why Prayer for the Week?

Prayer should never be reserved only for moments of crisis.

Scripture encourages us to maintain a life of continual communion with God. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 gives us the simple but powerful instruction:

“Pray without ceasing.”

Prayer is where burdens are surrendered, hearts are strengthened, wisdom is sought, peace is restored, and our plans are placed into the hands of God.

When we begin our week with prayer, we acknowledge that we do not want to walk ahead of God—we want to walk with Him.

Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us to trust in the Lord rather than to depend entirely on our own understanding. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He directs our paths.

That is the heart behind Prayer for the Week.

One Prayer for the Journey Ahead

Each week, we will share a carefully written, Scripture-centered prayer focused on an area of everyday Christian life.

Some weeks we may pray for strength.

Other weeks we may pray for peace, protection, healing, family, wisdom, provision, direction, courage, forgiveness, purpose, restoration, or spiritual growth.

There will be weeks when our prayer simply says:

“Lord, help me trust You.”

Every prayer will be anchored in the Word of God because our confidence does not rest in beautiful words—it rests in the faithfulness of the One to whom we pray.

Philippians 4:6–7 reminds us to bring everything before God through prayer and thanksgiving. In return, His peace guards our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Carry the Prayer With You

We encourage you not simply to read the weekly prayer once and move on.

Carry it with you throughout the week.

Pray it Monday morning.

Return to it when circumstances become difficult.

Read its Scripture before an important decision.

Share it with someone who needs encouragement.

Come back to it before going to sleep.

And whenever anxiety tries to take control, allow the prayer to remind you that God remains present, faithful, and sovereign.

Psalm 55:22 tells us:

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee.”

You were never meant to carry everything alone.

A Weekly Meeting Place With God

Our desire is for this page to become more than another collection of articles.

May it become a weekly meeting place with God.

A place where the weary find strength.

A place where the uncertain find direction.

A place where the fearful rediscover faith.

A place where families pray together.

A place where someone facing an impossible situation remembers that nothing is impossible with God.

And above all, a place where hearts are continually drawn closer to Jesus Christ.

Begin Your Week With God

Whatever this week holds, you do not have to enter it alone.

Before the appointments, before the conversations, before the decisions, before the victories, and before the unexpected moments—pray.

Invite God into every part of your week.

Place your plans before Him.

Ask Him for wisdom.

Trust Him with what you cannot control.

Thank Him for what He has already done.

And believe that the God who carried you yesterday will remain faithful today and tomorrow.

A new week is beginning.

A new prayer is waiting.

And God is already ahead of you.

Welcome to Prayer for the Week.

Come back each week, bring your heart before God, and let us pray together.

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK — #1

Lord, Go Before Me This Week

Scripture Anchor:
“And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)

A New Week Is in God's Hands

A new week stands before us.

We may have appointments on our calendars, responsibilities waiting for us, decisions that must be made, and circumstances we cannot yet see. We know some of what this week may bring—but only God knows everything that lies ahead.

That is why one of the most powerful prayers we can pray at the beginning of a new week is simply:

“Lord, go before me.”

Deuteronomy 31:8 reminds us that God does not merely walk beside His people—He goes before them.

Before you arrive at that meeting, God is already there.
Before you receive that telephone call, God is there.
Before you face that difficult conversation, God is there.
Before you encounter an unexpected challenge, God is there.

You are never walking into a place where the presence of God cannot reach you.

Trust the One Who Sees Ahead

Proverbs 3:5–6 teaches us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and acknowledge Him in all our ways. When we surrender our week to God, we are declaring that His wisdom is greater than our understanding.

Perhaps you are beginning this week carrying questions.

Will everything work out?

Will the door open?

Will I have enough strength?

Will God provide what I need?

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:34 not to become consumed with tomorrow. God gives grace for the day before us.

Psalm 37:23 also declares that the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord. What peace comes when we realize that we do not have to control every detail—we simply have to remain close to the One directing our steps.

Prayer for the Week

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for bringing me into another week.

Before I make my plans, I surrender them to You. Before I take another step, I ask You to direct my path.

Lord, go before me this week.

Go before me into every conversation.
Go before me into every decision.
Go before me into my workplace, my home, my ministry, and every place my feet will travel.

Where there is confusion, give me wisdom.

Where there is fear, give me courage.

Where there is weakness, give me strength.

Where there are obstacles, show me the way forward.

Protect me from dangers I cannot see. Close every door that is not Your will, and give me courage to walk through the doors You open.

Let Your favour surround me as a shield, as Psalm 5:12 declares.

When unexpected circumstances arise, remind me that You are not surprised. When I become weary, remind me that Your grace is sufficient for me according to 2 Corinthians 12:9.

Help me walk by faith and not by sight.

May my words bring encouragement. May my decisions reflect wisdom. May my actions honour You. And may my life point someone toward Jesus this week.

I place Monday through Sunday into Your hands.

Lord, go before me. Walk beside me. Stand behind me. And let Your presence surround me throughout this entire week.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

Declaration for the Week

God is going before me.

I will not be controlled by fear.

I will not be overwhelmed by tomorrow.

The Lord will direct my steps, strengthen my heart, protect my journey, and give me grace for everything I encounter.

This week belongs to God, and I will walk through it by faith.

Carry This Prayer With You

Whenever uncertainty comes this week, whisper these simple words:

“Lord, You have already gone before me.”

Then keep walking.

The God who knows tomorrow is holding your hand today.
