"As Far As You Can See"

Two children stood quietly on the shore, watching the sea stretch endlessly before them. One of them pointed toward the horizon and said, “Look—I can see where the sea touches the ground over there.” The other child smiled gently and replied, “That’s not really true. You’re only seeing as far as your eyes will let you. The sea goes much farther than that.”
And just like that, their simple exchange reflects the mystery of the cross.
To many, the death of Jesus looked like an ending—a man on a hill, crucified in pain. But that’s only as far as the human eye can see. The truth goes farther. What looked like defeat was actually victory. What seemed like the end was only the beginning.
Beyond the cross was the resurrection. Beyond the tomb was a throne. Beyond what we see, there is glory, power, and eternal life.
God’s plan, like the sea, stretches farther than we can comprehend. We may see the shoreline, but He sees forever.
