Walking in Power: The Apostles’ Early Miracles

By Pinnacle Message

They were once fishermen, tax collectors, and ordinary men. But after Jesus ascended and the Holy Spirit descended, they became witnesses with fire in their bones — walking not in their own strength, but in the power of God.

The book of Acts is not just a historical record — it is a living testament to what happens when faith, obedience, and divine authority collide. What Jesus began in His earthly ministry, the apostles continued through the Holy Spirit, shaking cities and transforming lives.

“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”
Acts 4:33

Healing in His Name

The first public miracle after Pentecost happened at the temple gate called Beautiful. A man who had been lame from birth sat there daily, begging for money. But on that day, Peter and John offered something greater.

“Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
Acts 3:6

With that declaration, the man stood, leaped, and praised God. The people were astonished — not just by the healing, but by the authority with which the apostles moved. They weren’t promoting themselves. They were pointing to the risen Christ.

Deliverance and Boldness

As word spread, the apostles began to walk in a new boldness. They healed the sick, cast out unclean spirits, and preached the Gospel without fear, even under threat of imprisonment.

“And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people.”
Acts 5:12

The streets of Jerusalem were filled with miracles. People laid the sick in Peter’s shadow, believing even that could bring healing. And many were set free from oppression, because where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).

Power With Purpose

The miracles weren’t for show. They were a confirmation of the message: that Jesus Christ is alive, and salvation is available to all who believe.

“God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit.”
Hebrews 2:4

Every healing, every deliverance, every demonstration of power was meant to reveal the Kingdom of God on earth. And the apostles walked in that power because they walked in obedience and faith.

Today’s Church, Same Spirit

At Pinnacle Message, we believe the early Church was not an exception — it was a blueprint. The same Spirit that moved through Peter, John, and Paul now lives in every believer.

You are not powerless.
You are not forgotten.
You have been called to walk in power, just as they did.

The book of Acts is still being written — in every life surrendered to Christ.
