Revive Us Again: Rekindling the Fire of Faith This Spring

A call to spiritual renewal and passion in the heart of every believer

By Pinnacle Message

As the earth blossoms in May, adorned with new life and color, our spirits are gently reminded that God is in the business of renewal. Spring speaks of revival — of buried seeds pushing through soil, of dormant things awakened by warmth, and of second chances bathed in sunlight. Likewise, this is the season to rekindle the fire of our faith, to fan into flame the passion we once carried, and to return to the God who makes all things new.

Narration: A Heart in Search of More

Perhaps you've been walking with the Lord, yet your heart feels weary. Or maybe your prayers have become silent routines, your worship a whisper, and your passion buried beneath the demands of life. The good news is: God has not forgotten you. He desires to breathe life into dry bones, light the embers of your spirit, and stir up a fresh hunger in your soul.

This revival isn’t found in a building or just a gathering — it starts in the secret place, where God whispers, “Come closer, My child. Let Me set your heart ablaze again.”

🌿 Exposition: What It Means to Be Revived

To be revived is to be awakened — to return to the joy of your salvation, to regain spiritual alertness, and to burn with holy love for God and His people. This kind of spiritual refreshing isn’t temporary emotionalism; it’s a deep cleansing and restoring of your walk with God.

Let’s look at six powerful scriptures that call us into revival:

Six Scriptures for Spiritual Renewal

  1. Psalm 85:6 (NIV)
“Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?”
➤ This is the heart cry of every soul longing to feel alive in God again. Revival begins with a humble request for God to breathe upon us once more.

  2. Revelation 2:4-5 (ESV)
“But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.”
➤ Jesus invites us to remember, repent, and return — three steps that reignite the flame of intimacy with Him.

  3. 2 Timothy 1:6 (NIV)
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…”
➤ There are embers still glowing in you. Stir them up. Don’t let your calling, joy, and purpose sit idle.

  4. Isaiah 57:15 (NLT)
“The high and lofty one who lives in eternity… says this: ‘I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.’”
➤ Revival comes to the humble. When we bow, God lifts us with new strength and restored courage.

  5. Hosea 6:1-2 (NIV)
“Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us... After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will restore us, that we may live in his presence.”
➤ Return is the pathway to revival. When we come back to God, He doesn’t scold — He heals, revives, and restores.

  6. Romans 12:11 (NLT)
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”
➤ Our passion must be protected. The flame of zeal must be fed with prayer, Word, and worship.

 Encouragement: Your Springtime Awakening

Dear friend, this spring, God is not only awakening creation — He’s awakening you. Shake off the spiritual slumber. Return to your first love. Find fresh oil in prayer and new strength in the Word. Let worship rise from your lips like sweet incense.

You were made to burn bright for Christ — not to flicker, not to fade. And no matter how dim the flame, God is willing to breathe on you again.

Closing Prayer

Lord, revive me again. Stir up what has been asleep in my soul. Fan into flame the love I once had for You. Heal the places where I’ve grown cold, and awaken me to Your purpose once more. May this spring bring more than flowers — let it bring a new fire in my faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
