RECEIVE IT TODAY – Vol. 1

Understanding God’s Purpose and Embracing It Fully

There is a call from heaven that echoes into the lives of every believer—a divine purpose crafted before time began. It is not distant or abstract. It is available now. But to walk in it, you must first be willing to receive it.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

Narration: The Invitation from Heaven

Imagine waking up and realizing that everything you need to live a full, purposeful, and godly life has already been made available to you. There’s no striving to earn it—only the need to receive it. Today. Not tomorrow. Not when you're more "ready." But now.

When Jesus called Peter from his fishing boat, He didn’t hand him a roadmap. He gave him an invitation: "Follow Me" (Matthew 4:19). In the same way, God doesn’t always unveil every step, but He calls us into trust, obedience, and purpose—one divine step at a time.

1. The Call to Purpose

“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.”
Psalm 138:8 (ESV)

God is not passive about your destiny. He is deeply involved, personally committed to seeing His purpose fulfilled in you. This verse assures us that what God starts, He finishes. Your calling is not just a dream; it’s divine intention.

2. Created With a Design

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

You were not born by accident. You are God’s craftsmanship. There are works—assignments, divine appointments, and godly tasks—uniquely prepared for you. You reach God’s purpose not by striving, but by walking in Christ, guided by the Spirit.

3. Aligning with God's Will

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV)

Purpose becomes clear as trust becomes strong. God does not ask for perfection—He asks for surrender. When we release control, His direction becomes visible. We reach His purpose through obedience and trust.

4. Letting Go of the Past

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!”
Isaiah 43:18–19 (NIV)

To receive what God is doing today, you must release what happened yesterday. God’s purpose is not tied to your failures. In fact, He often births new beginnings from what once looked broken. Every “no” of the past may lead to a greater “yes” in Him.

5. Empowered to Fulfill It

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”
Acts 1:8 (NIV)

God’s purpose comes with God’s power. The Holy Spirit equips you for every challenge, anoints your speech, fuels your faith, and ignites your calling. You don’t walk in purpose alone—you walk with God within you.

6. Press Toward It Daily

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:14 (NIV)

Purpose is a daily pursuit. Even Paul, seasoned in faith, knew that living in God’s purpose meant pressing forward—not backward, not standing still. The call is upward and onward.

7. Today is the Day

“Now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.”
2 Corinthians 6:2 (NIV)

The invitation to live in God's purpose isn’t for later—it’s for now. It’s not about being "ready enough." God says, "RECEIVE IT TODAY." Step into what He has already made available by His grace.

Interpretation & Encouragement

Receiving God's purpose is not about climbing a spiritual ladder. It's about saying yes to His call. It’s recognizing that purpose is not something you find—it’s something you accept, walk in, and grow into.

Believer, this is your moment. God’s plan is not waiting for a better version of you—it’s waiting for a willing heart. Receive it today. Walk in it boldly. And remember: the one who calls you is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
