RECEIVE IT TODAY – Vol. 3

Overcoming the Barriers to God’s Purpose in Your Life

In Volumes 1 and 2, we received God’s invitation and took our first steps into divine purpose. But with every journey of faith comes resistance. Volume 3 reveals the barriers that often block believers from walking fully in purpose—and how to overcome them by the power of God.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:2 (NIV)

1. Barrier: Fear of Failure

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Fear whispers, “What if you fail?” But God responds, “I have equipped you with power.” Many never start because they wait for fear to disappear—but courage comes after obedience, not before it.

Breakthrough: Replace fear with faith. Trust in God’s strength, not your own.

2. Barrier: Past Mistakes

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

Some feel disqualified by their past, haunted by regret. But God does not recycle your past—He recreates your future. In Him, the old is not just covered; it’s gone.

Breakthrough: Embrace your new identity. You are not your history—you are His testimony.

3. Barrier: Comparison

“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus…”
Hebrews 12:1–2 (NIV)

Purpose is personal. Looking at someone else’s calling will only distract you from your own. Their blessing does not cancel yours. God writes unique stories—run your race.

Breakthrough: Fix your focus on Christ, not on others. God’s will for you is tailor-made.

4. Barrier: Delay and Disappointment

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Proverbs 13:12 (NIV)

Waiting seasons can feel like wasted seasons. But God often delays to prepare. Every disappointment is a doorway to deeper trust and refined faith.

Breakthrough: Don’t stop believing in what He promised—delay is not denial. Stay planted in hope.

5. Barrier: Lack of Clarity

“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

You may feel unsure where to go next—but clarity often comes through the Word. One lamp. One step. One day at a time. God lights the path, not the whole road.

Breakthrough: Stay in Scripture. He will guide you, even if you only see the next step.

6. Barrier: Spiritual Laziness or Apathy

“Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.”
Romans 12:11 (ESV)

Sometimes we aren’t blocked by the enemy, but by our own lack of spiritual discipline. Busyness can crowd out time with God. But revival begins with daily devotion.

Breakthrough: Stir up the flame again. Renew your hunger. Reignite your fire.

7. Barrier: Unbelief

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’”
Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

Unbelief is the heaviest chain. It binds the hands of destiny. But Jesus calls us not to understand everything—only to believe. Miracles begin where doubt ends.

Breakthrough: Trade your questions for trust. Let faith rise again. Receive it today.

Conclusion: Tear Down Every Wall

Every barrier can fall. Every weight can be lifted. The enemy may try to hinder your calling—but through Christ, you have divine authority to overcome. This is your moment to break through. Don’t just see God’s purpose—step into it fully.

Declare this today: “Every wall in my way is coming down. I will not be stopped. I receive it today through the Blood of the Lamb!” Amen.
