Christ is the Rock Upon Which I Stand – Vol. 2: When All Else Crumbles
By Pinnacle Message
“He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.” — Psalm 62:6
Narration
The wind howled through the ruins of once-mighty fortresses—careers, relationships, reputations—all torn down by time, betrayal, and unexpected storms. A believer stood among the rubble, not untouched by pain but unshaken by it. Why? Because beneath the ruins was a Rock that remained—Christ, the unbreakable foundation.
When life strips away everything we thought was stable, it reveals where our true trust lies. If our foundation is Christ, we may weep, but we won’t fall. We may bend, but we won’t break. Because He holds us.
Exposition
In this volume, we learn the power of Christ as our unshakable stronghold when everything else gives way.
-
Matthew 16:18 – “...on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Jesus didn’t promise immunity from attack; He promised invincibility in faith. The Church, built on Christ, cannot be overcome. -
Habakkuk 3:17–18 – “Though the fig tree should not blossom... yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.”
Even when visible blessings fade, God remains the Rock of our rejoicing. -
Job 19:25 – “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.”
In loss and mystery, Job’s faith stood on something deeper than understanding—it stood on the living Redeemer. -
Proverbs 10:25 – “When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.”
Storms come, but only those built on Christ endure.
Interpretation
This world offers counterfeit rocks—money, success, people, positions—but they all crumble under pressure. Only Christ, the Solid Rock, sustains us through loss, grief, and global shaking.
When your heart is anchored in Him, you can echo the words of Psalm 46:2–3:
“Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way...”
This is not denial; it’s divine defiance against fear.
Teach to Enlighten
Believer, build wisely. Let Christ be more than a song or a Sunday message—let Him be your immovable foundation. Life will test your structure, but if Christ is your base, you will still be standing long after the storm passes.
2 Timothy 2:19 proclaims, “Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure.”
So even when all else crumbles, say it aloud and believe it deeply:
Christ is the Rock upon which I stand.
