Christ is the Rock Upon Which I Stand – Vol. 5: My Anchor in Eternity

By Pinnacle Message

“From the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” — Psalm 61:2

Narration

The tides of life ebb and flow—joy and sorrow, birth and loss, laughter and mourning. The world turns, and seasons change. But for the soul anchored in Christ, there is no fear of eternity. Imagine standing at the edge of life’s final horizon—not with dread, but with divine peace. Why? Because the same Rock that held you in the storm, in the fire, and through the shifting world… now carries you home.

To stand on Christ is not only to live well, but to die unafraid—and to rise again in glory.

Exposition

This final volume centers on Christ as our eternal anchor, the Rock not only for life on earth but for the life to come.

  1. John 11:25-26 – “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live...”
Christ is not just our Rock in trouble—He is our Resurrection. Death bows to Him.

  2. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 – “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory...”
Standing on Christ turns earthly trials into eternal testimonies.

  3. Hebrews 6:19 – “We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain...”
Our hope is not drifting; it is anchored beyond the veil—where Christ is seated in victory.

  4. Revelation 21:4 – “He will wipe away every tear... death shall be no more...”
Standing on Christ gives us an eternal future free from sorrow, sustained by the Rock of Ages.

Interpretation

The believer does not fear death—not because they are brave, but because they are anchored. Christ is the Rock that reaches beyond the grave. Faith built on Him is never wasted. It’s not just survival—it’s salvation. Not just deliverance—it’s destiny.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 promises that the dead in Christ will rise, and we who remain will be caught up with them. We stand on a Rock that returns for us.

Teach to Enlighten

To declare “Christ is the Rock upon which I stand” is to declare eternal security. It's to know that nothing—not even death—can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:38-39).

Let every believer hold this truth close:
Christ didn’t just save us for the moment—He secured us for eternity.

He is the Rock now, and forever. So whether in life or death, in peace or in persecution, declare it boldly:
Christ is the Rock upon which I stand—my anchor in eternity.
