Narration:

The city of Jerusalem sits nestled among mountains, naturally fortified by the landscape itself. David used this image to describe the divine protection that envelops God's people. It’s not a wall of stone—it’s a spiritual circle of fire, a holy hedge that no enemy can cross without God's permission.

From the days of Elisha, who stood calm as fiery armies encircled him (2 Kings 6), to today’s quiet believer who prays in faith, the truth remains: God surrounds His own.

Exposition:

To be surrounded is often seen as a threat—but when it’s the Lord doing the surrounding, it is the most secure place to be. God is not just near you; He’s around you—north, south, east, west. He is the boundary you cannot see but can always trust.

Divine protection may not always prevent trouble from arising, but it always preserves you within it.

There is a holy circumference around the child of God. It's not visible to the naked eye, but it is real in the spirit realm. When you feel hemmed in by fear, stress, or demonic threats—remember: He that surrounds you is greater than what surrounds your problems.

You don’t have to fear the arrows by day or the terror by night—because you’re not standing alone. You’re standing within divine circumference.

Speak this truth:
I am surrounded by the Lord.
 His fire is my shield.
 His angels are my guard.

Don’t break the circle with doubt or sin. Stay inside the hedge. Let worship and obedience maintain the fire. You are not abandoned. You are encompassed by God’s glory.
