The Light of the Word

The Poem

When midnight walks upon the weary land,
And doubt surrounds the traveler’s silent road,
A living flame appears by God’s command—
The shining truth within His sacred code.

The Word descends like dawn upon the soul,
A lamp that brightens paths once lost in night;
It breaks the chains that once controlled the whole,
And turns the fearful wanderer toward the light.

No shadow stands before its holy blaze,
No hidden thought escapes its searching flame;
It pierces hearts and lifts the soul in praise,
Revealing grace within the Savior’s name.

So let the Word arise where darkness falls—
A guiding star no storm can overrun;
For every heart that hears the Spirit’s call
Will find its path illuminated by the Son.
