Strength for the Road You Didn't Expect to Travel
Scripture:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
None of us can predict every turn our journey will take. There are seasons that surprise us with joy and others that confront us with pain. Yet even on unfamiliar roads, God never abandons His children.
Many of God's servants walked paths they never expected. Joseph did not expect slavery before leadership. Ruth did not expect widowhood before restoration. Paul did not expect imprisonment while preaching the Gospel.
Yet every unexpected road became a testimony of God's faithfulness.
The strength God gives is not reserved only for easy days. His strength shines brightest when ours begins to fail.
Sometimes we ask God to remove the mountain. Instead, He gives us stronger feet to climb it.
Sometimes we ask Him to calm the storm. Instead, He teaches us to trust Him in the middle of it.
The presence of difficulty is not the absence of God. Often, His closest work happens in our hardest seasons.
When your strength is exhausted, God's strength has only begun.
Do not measure your future by today's weakness. Measure it by God's unlimited power.
The same God who carried Israel through the wilderness still carries His people today.
Walk one step at a time.
He is walking beside you.

Where have you been depending upon your own strength instead of God's?
Prayer
Lord, I surrender my weakness to You. Fill me with Your strength for every challenge before me. Help me trust that Your grace is enough for every season. Lead me safely on the road You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
