Wednesday — Strength
Strength to Step Into the New Season
Scripture Focus: Joshua 1:1–9; Isaiah 40:31; Psalm 27:14; Philippians 4:13; Deuteronomy 31:8
Joshua stood at the beginning of an entirely new season.
Moses was gone. Leadership had changed. Israel stood before the Promised Land, and enormous responsibilities were now before Joshua.
God knew what Joshua needed.
Again and again, He told him:
Be strong. Be courageous.
Notice that God did not promise Joshua a journey without opposition. Instead, He promised something greater—His presence.
That same truth strengthens us today.
New seasons can be exciting, but they can also be intimidating. A new responsibility, opportunity, assignment, relationship, ministry, school year, or unexpected change can leave us wondering:
Am I ready for this?
Our confidence does not have to come from having every answer.
Our confidence comes from knowing God goes with us.
When God opens a new chapter, He does not expect you to survive it entirely through yesterday's strength. He supplies fresh grace for today's assignment.
Isaiah 40:31 teaches that those who wait upon the Lord renew their strength. This means weakness does not have to become the end of your story.
When your strength runs low, God remains strong.
When your courage trembles, His promises remain firm.
When the road looks unfamiliar, His presence remains near.
Joshua eventually crossed the Jordan because he chose to trust the God who had called him forward.
You can do the same.
Deeper Reflection
Do not measure the size of your new season only by the size of your strength.
Measure it by the greatness of the God walking with you.
Today's Declaration:
God has given me grace for this season. I will move forward with faith, courage, and confidence in His presence.
