The Prayer That Says, “Lord, Lead Me Forward”
Scripture Focus: Psalm 25:4–5; Psalm 143:10; Isaiah 30:21; Philippians 3:13–14; Jeremiah 29:11; Romans 8:28
There comes a moment when faith must become surrender.
We can spend so much time asking God to show us the future that we forget to ask Him to guide our next step.
Prayer changes that.
Prayer says:
“Lord, I don't need to control the entire journey. I need You to lead me.”
Psalm 25 contains a beautiful request: Show me Your ways. Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth.
That should become the prayer of every believer entering a new season.
You do not need to know everything that will happen next month, next year, or even next week.
You need God's direction today.
When God leads, He may sometimes take you through unexpected places. But no road traveled with God is wasted. He can use delays to develop patience, challenges to strengthen faith, and unexpected changes to redirect us toward His purposes.
Therefore, do not enter your next season carrying fear from the previous one.
Carry faith.
Carry prayer.
Carry God's Word.
And above everything else, carry the confidence that the God who brought you this far has not stopped leading you now.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for every season through which You have carried me.
As I step toward what is ahead, give me wisdom to recognize Your direction and courage to follow You. Where I am uncertain, guide me. Where I am afraid, strengthen me. Where I am holding onto something You are asking me to release, give me grace to surrender.
Close every door that would lead me away from Your purpose, and open the doors that align with Your will.
Teach me not to live imprisoned by yesterday or consumed by tomorrow. Help me walk faithfully with You today.
Lord, lead my thoughts, my decisions, my plans, and my steps.
Whatever this new season brings, let my life declare that You are faithful.
I place my future into Your hands.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.

The present season is shaping you.
And God is already present in the season ahead.
Keep walking. Keep believing. Keep following.
