PINNACLE DAILY WORD — WEEK #30
Wednesday — Strength
Strength to Remain Faithful in the Ordinary
Scripture Anchor — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Some days ask for a kind of strength that receives little applause. You prepare another meal, complete another task, care for someone who depends upon you, or offer kindness when your own heart feels tired.
The repetition can make you wonder whether your efforts matter. When each day looks similar, it is easy to overlook the value of faithfulness.
Yet Scripture gives dignity to the ordinary places where we serve. Colossians 3:23 teaches us to work heartily as unto the Lord. A task becomes an offering when we carry it out with sincerity, care, and love for Him.
Think of Ruth gathering grain in the fields. Ruth 2:2–3 shows her taking a practical step to provide for herself and Naomi. She went to work in the circumstances available to her. Her story reminds us that meaningful obedience often begins with the responsibility directly before us.
You may be asking God for strength to handle something large while He is helping you complete something small. Answering a difficult message graciously, keeping a promise, or showing up for someone can become an expression of His grace.
Galatians 6:9 acknowledges that doing good can be tiring. The instruction to persevere is given to people who can become weary. God understands the cost of sustained service. You can tell Him honestly when your strength is running low.
Hebrews 6:10 assures believers that God remembers their work and the love shown in serving His people. A quiet act of compassion is seen by Him. The person you helped may never fully explain what your kindness meant, but its value does not depend upon public recognition.
Faithfulness also requires wisdom about our limits. In Mark 6:31, Jesus invited His disciples to come apart and rest after a demanding period of ministry. Receiving rest, asking for help, and sharing responsibilities can support the work God has entrusted to you.
You do not need to exhaust yourself to prove your devotion. Bring your whole humanity to the Lord: your willingness, your fatigue, your needs, and your hopes.
First Corinthians 15:58 encourages us to remain steadfast because our labour in the Lord is not in vain. This assurance does not promise that every effort will produce the result we expect. It teaches us that service offered to Christ has lasting significance.
Today, ask for strength for the next faithful action. You may not be able to complete everything at once. You can still do one thing with love.
Let that be your offering: an ordinary responsibility carried out with a heart turned towards Jesus.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, strengthen me for the responsibilities before me. When repetition makes me weary, remind me that love expressed through faithful service matters to You. Give me wisdom to rest, humility to receive help, and grace to serve with a willing heart. Amen.
Today’s Faith Step: Choose one ordinary task and complete it prayerfully. If you are overwhelmed, ask someone for practical help.
