Elijah Call Fire From Heaven

On Mount Carmel, the prophet Elijah stood against the prophets of Baal to prove that the Lord alone is God. He built an altar, laid the sacrifice upon it, and drenched it with water three times until it overflowed into the trench. Then Elijah prayed, calling on the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel to reveal His power. Instantly, fire fell from heaven, consuming the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, the dust, and even the water. The people fell on their faces, crying, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!” (1 Kings 18:36–39).
